Narrow is the Road

“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”   (Matthew 7:14 NIV)

As I look back at what the Father has done in the Middle East, I am amazed at the intricacy of the narrow road. It can be complicated; it can sometimes not make sense; and yet, I see how He moves and works in the chaos to bring people to Him.

He led me to begin working in Bahrain 5 years ago. The road later led to working with students. Our team opened an English vocational institute where many of us teach and share truth with students and families from all over Bahrain, including many villages we would never have had the opportunity to visit. These students seek to develop relationships with us and with the Father as He leads them on their own paths. It’s thrilling to think that these students might join the narrow road and lead more people to come with them!

The narrow road can lead us to serve in places of pain and desperate need. The road has many twists and turns, touching across Bahrain and beyond. The Lord has led us into key “gateway” villages across the country and into the neighboring countries. And this is only the beginning of the story of the road God has led us down! New meanderings are opening all the time. I thank God for allowing me to be a part of leading others to the narrow road that leads to eternal life with Him.
